If your organization doesn't have a workforce management system, we still have a cartoon for you. If you do, we have a way to help you maximize the value.

Sincerely,
Anthony Lacenere and Timm Rawa

If you didn't already know, Kronos is the company that provides (among other things) those time clocks that allow employees to swipe in and out at work. Coupled with sophisticated software, Kronos enables organizations to reduce costs, increase productivity, improve employee satisfaction and ultimately enhance the level of service they provide. You'll find Kronos in the majority of the Fortune 1000.

Many benefits come simply from implementing the Kronos solution and getting greater accountability of employee time. However, there are significant incremental benefits that can be achieved by identifying best practices through sophisticated quantitative analysis, extending best practice performance across the organization, and monitoring system usage on an ongoing basis.

For example, if Kronos is integrated with a company’s payroll system, Propel can discover problems with the integration by utilizing proprietary tools to analyze the 'sea' of data in the two systems. Examples include paying multiple shift differentials on the same work-hours, paying shift differential when none was really due because of 'early' employee swiping, and paying shift differential erroneously on overtime hours that were actually the result of system integration problems.

So what's the bottom line? Is it true that 'time is money?' We’ll leave that to the theorists. But it's a fact that better utilization of your workforce management tools positively impacts your bottom line.

Propel provides companies with the ability to maximize the financial performance of capital investments. In this example, we show how a deep analysis of the expected benefits of a pilot rollout allows benefits to be amplified. Identifying which pilot users reaped the biggest benefits, and how they did so, allows you to tune the implementation and ultimate rollout to leverage the project.

Looking for a low-cost way to tune up your processes to get the most out of your capital investments?

Propel now offers a very brief engagement to examine key factors likely to impact a project outcome, the range of possible costs and benefits, and summarizes recommendations to optimize the overall project.

If you know of anyone responsible for implementing large capital projects, please share this information with them by clicking on the "Forward email" link below.

Thank you!
