Optimizing
Operational

Performance

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a guaranteed Demonstration Project?
A Demonstration Project is an engagement lasting four to five weeks where Propel works with you to identify opportunities for optimizing operational performance. The deliverable is an analysis of how real, quantified returns would be gained by adjusting processes within the organization.

How do we get started?
Contact Propel to schedule a free Demonstration Project scoping meeting. In this meeting we first identify operational process(es)where you have issues or concerns and then pinpoint the data that relates to the process(es). This identifies the scope of the Demonstration Project. The Demonstration Project delivers value immediately, and can find evidence to realize very high returns in a post-demonstration project.

What kind and how much data does Propel analyze?
Propel has developed proprietary technology tools to analyze large complex data files. In a Demonstration Project, we select a subset of operational data that is large enough to provide valuable results, but small enough to be accomplished in four to five weeks.

If we have inaccurate or missing data, can Propel's approach still create reliable answers?
Yes. Many organizations focus too much on the accuracy of their data and assume that inaccurate data is worthless. To the contrary, Propel has found that everyone has inaccurate data, and hyper-focusing on the data quality is missing the forest for the trees. Propel's approach includes the ability to identify and work around inaccuracies in data. Moreover, Propel's proprietary technology can infer data statistically, or from a combination of industry standards and input from subject matter experts.

What is the cost of an engagement?
Demonstration Projects are typically priced at $25,000, although this may vary depending on the number of data sources, their size, and complexity. A full project is priced based on the estimated level of effort. Some projects may qualify for results-based contingency pricing, with little or no initial investment required.

What if Propel's approach doesn't find opportunities for benefit in our organization?
Finding opportunities for benefit is Propel's Demonstration Project promise. If we don't deliver results, there is no charge.

Understanding that Propel has done a lot of work in such industries as Healthcare and Transportation, our business is very specialized. How can Propel help us if you haven't worked in our industry?
Propel has worked in many industries. Every industry has unique products, markets, operations, and business practices. Moreover, every company within each industry functions uniquely. Our process includes using subject-matter experts within your organization in a highly leveraged (not time consuming) way. By teaming with subject-matter experts within your organization, we keep the focus on your unique data and your unique opportunities to optimize performance.
