Optimizing
Operational
Performance |
How It Works

Organizations are inundated with detailed data tracking business
operations. Unable to "digest" all this data, the classic solution is to
aggregate it, or create averages and trends. This can conceal significant
insight into performance improvement opportunities which can dramatically
affect the bottom line.
The primary objective of Propel's analysis is to uncover these
hidden opportunities. Propel has developed a proprietary three step
analytical approach to identify opportunities to yield significant financial
return. This three step approach is described below.
Step 1: Examine Actual Performance
To examine actual performance, Propel analyzes data that is
available within a specific area of your business operations where improvement
is desired. Propel's propriety toolset, SCOUT, identifies exceptional
conditions warranting examination.
Step 2: Validate Opportunity
Propel reviews each of the potentially significant
performance-related conditions with you to ascertain its implication and
cause. We will then jointly determine the potential business
"call-to-action" for each. Representative calls-to-action include:
addressable business process, training, technology/information solutions,
and management issues.
Step 3: Project Improvement Scenarios
Using our propriety tool, FADS, we will project scenarios for
implementing each call-to-action. Each projection will include: the cost to
launch an associated initiative; its expected benefits; and, the
risk-adjusted return on investment. Propel will document the findings in a
presentation which serves as the formal deliverable for the project. We will
then present the findings to you and, as appropriate, identify next steps
for your organization.
